At work and home, my primary laptop is a 15 inch i7 MacBook Pro with a matte screen (because I'm not mentally broken, like glare-loving glossy freaks), 8GB of memory, and a non-SSD.
There are Kinects rigged to the ceiling and webcams of various sorts dangling all over.
Communication
I love bits and pieces of Sparrow , but stick with the classics for now.

Coding & Development
When on the Mac, I spend a ton of time in Xcode.
I also use TextMate for project searches and basic textual stuff.
I use IDEA for Java/Android projects.
Scrivener makes me want to write more, but I tend to fall back to TextMate or Mail for writing drafts.
Design
Media
Acorn is an excellent piece of software.
