Terms
Last updated 29 October 2026
These terms cover your use of Kitlist at kitlist.tech.
The site is operated by Beanstalk Publishing Ltd (company number 13756572, registered in England and Wales), registered office Enterprise House, Ocean Way, Southampton, SO14 3XB, United Kingdom. Questions go to hello@kitlist.tech.
What Kitlist is
Kitlist is a place to read and share the tools people use, and the reasons they use them. Anyone can read the public pages. You need an account to post.
Accounts
Kitlist is for adults only. You need to be 18 or over to use it.
You sign in with an email address. We send a one-time link. If GitHub or Google sign-in is offered, you can use that instead. You are responsible for what happens through your account.
Acceptable use
Post a kit that is yours, in your own words.
You must not:
- spam, or post repeated promotions
- impersonate another person, or claim a profile that is not yours
- post anything illegal
- post anything abusive, hateful, or harassing
- post someone else's private information without a proper reason
- attack, disrupt, or overload the site, or try to bypass a limit we set
Your content
You keep ownership of what you post. That includes your reasons, your bio, your photo, and the other details you add.
You grant Kitlist a licence to host that material and to display it on the site. This covers public pages, and previews of those pages, such as the title and description shown when someone shares a link. The licence is non-exclusive, which means you can also use the same material anywhere else. It is free of charge. It applies worldwide, because anyone on the internet can open the site. It lasts while the material is on Kitlist.
You can delete your account at any time. That removes your sign-in email, profile, kit, reasons, and photos straight away. A tool name or link that other people use can stay in the shared catalogue.
You confirm that you have the rights you need to post the material, including the photo.
Removing content and accounts
We can edit, hide, or delete content. We can suspend or close an account. We may do this if these terms are broken, if the law requires it, or to protect Kitlist and the people who use it.
No warranty
Kitlist is provided as it stands. We work to keep it available. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or free of mistakes, or that every tool, link, or reason on it is accurate or complete.
People write their own reasons. A listing is not a recommendation from us. Nothing on Kitlist is advice.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss of profit, loss of goodwill, loss of data, or other indirect or consequential loss connected with your use of the site, or with you being unable to use it.
These terms do not limit liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that the law of England and Wales does not allow us to limit.
If you are a consumer, you keep any rights that the law says cannot be taken away.
Changes to these terms
We can update these terms. When we do, we change the date at the top of this page. If a change matters to how you use Kitlist, we will say so on the site or by email. If you keep using Kitlist after the change, the new terms apply. If you do not agree, stop using the site and delete your account.
Governing law
The law of England and Wales governs these terms. The courts of England and Wales will hear disputes about them. If you are a consumer living in the UK, any right the law gives you to bring a claim in your local courts stays in place.
